This is not from me. Maybe, another debate after the one concerning American students. A study by The Daily Beast revealed the laziest countries in the world. The USA is the first of the top 5. The other countries are Canada, Belgium, Turkey and UK.
The criteria were: daily calories intake; time spends watching TV, percentage of people doing sport and surfing on the internet.
The Daily Beast awarded the USA with the gold metal. According to the Daily Beast, America is the laziest country in the world with regards to time spent watching TV and calories per day.
The Daily Beast used recent data provided by credible organizations such as the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development and Food and the Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, etc.
Some Americans would say they are not lazy. Of course they aren’t: the study does not say all Americans are lazy. It says that most of Americans are lazy compared to people from France or Switzerland.
Americans are the laziest in the world. They are fast food addicts. That makes most of them fat. Although they multitask, they are not athletes. The majority of them have a distaste for sports. However, the nation’s athletes have been among the best during the Olympics Games in Vancouver this year.
This just shows that the minority that plays sports gives America its good athletic reputation. Does that cover the shame of the majority being lazy? Of course, no.
